(6.1) Surveys
The State shall survey the business conditions of SMEs to accurately understand in what direction SMEs, which have a major share of domestic industries, are proceeding, depending on their type and business conditions, and what measures they need.
In order to clarify the policies the government has applied and is going to apply concerning SMEs and their trends, the State has been drafting the annual White Papers on SMEs and submitting it to the Diet since 1963. (6.2) Public Relations and Business Counseling
In order to accurately disseminate elaborate measures for SMEs focused on their diversity, the State shall conduct public relations activities using a broad range of media such as publications, television broadcasting, the Internet, etc., as appropriate.
The State shall respond to requests for consultation, complaints, demands, etc. from SMEs by allocating SME official counseling in the Small and Medium Enterprises Agency and each Regional Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry.
